"Carter, have you seen Daniel?"

"He was complaining of a sore throat earlier, so I sent him to see Janet. He may have picked up that strep virus Cassie brought home from school."

"Strep? That's nasty stuff."

"He's pretty miserable. Fortunately, antibiotics should knock it out."

"Ugh. Guess we should make ready to force pills on him, huh?"

"Well, given Daniel's tendency to skip doses, Janet will probably give him a shot."

"Ouch. So, now we get to hear him whine about his sore arm."

"Um... this shot has to go in a large muscle."

"Large? You mean..."

"Yes, sir. It's probably a good thing Daniel's going to be spending the next few days in bed, since sitting is likely to be a little uncomfortable."

"Nurse... Lt. Bailey, sorry."

"Can I help you, Colonel?"

"What is, um, whatcha got there on your tray?"

"It's a syringe, sir. Loaded with penicillin. Dr. Jackson's—"

"Yeah, strep throat. I heard. Where is he?"

"Behind that curtain. With Dr. Fraiser."

"Thank you, Lieutenant. Okay, Daniel, drop your pants and lean over the bed."

"Good thing Jack doesn't know about this. He'd probably love the opportunity to sneak a peek. Ow."

"Heh, heh."

"Jack!"
